What does alternate nostril breathing do for the brain?
There has been a strong link to improved brain function while practicing Alternate Nostril Breathing. This breathing technique enhances the use of both the left and right hemispheres of the brain by providing equal amounts of oxygen, which assists in further developing the brain to its maximum potential.
Is nostril breathing good for you?
With regular practice, alternate-nostril breathing can bring better balance to your nervous system and less stress response and activity over time. It lowers blood pressure. Deep breathing and alternate-nostril breathing slow your heartbeat and lower your blood pressure. It improves breathing.
The benefits of left nostril breathing are numerous including sharper, clearer focus of the mind, and a deep, full relaxation or sleep.
